Our company structure
With our comprex® process, we are a cross-industry specialist for mechanical cleaning. The variety of application areas allows us to offer our customers optimized solutions for cleaning. Be it as a service, in plant engineering and in medicine.
- For decades, we have been successfully working for numerous municipalities throughout Germany and beyond when it comes to cleaning drinking water, raw water and wastewater pressure lines efficiently and sustainably
- The comprex® process mobilizes and removes deposits and biofilms from drinking water installations of e.g. hospitals, universities, swimming pools and residential buildings.
- Due to their complex design, industrial plants and systems have special cleaning requirements. With comprex®, complex systems can be successfully applied in areas such as cooling systems, heat exchangers, machine cooling, etc.
- With our comprex® units, pipelines or production facilities are cleaned in a targeted manner by integrating our cleaning technology as an automated step in the operating processes. This permanently prevents recurring soiling and maximizes production efficiency.
- Founding investment in the start-up Comprex-Medical GmbH. The patented impulse rinsing process sets a new hygiene standard in the medical industry. With comprex® Endoprime, endoscopes are pre-cleaned automatically. This minimizes time, effort, cost and risk.

Certification according to SCCP:2021
Safety first is as much a matter of course for us at work as it is for you at your industrial site. With Hammann GmbH, an SCC – certified service company is at your disposal.
The occupational health and safety management system SCC (Safety Certificate Contractors) was implemented at our company for the first time in 2017 and audited by TÜV Rheinland (certificate number: 01 013 1700046).
With our SCCP certification level, our occupational health and safety management system includes the needs of the petrochemical industry.
Innovations and patents.
A BMBF research project is successful when patents result from it. We have been able to develop two of them from the BMBF joint project “Microbial ochreization in technical systems”. The first has already been granted as a European patent.
It is a new process that completely redefines the performance level of our COMPREX® impulse rinsing process – with the revolutionary technology of modulated air pulses. This additional tool is always used when particularly high force is required when removing deposits and water is to be saved at the same time.

We at comprex® always want to get better. That is why we are also constantly looking for the even better solution to clean piping systems and their components. Research is close to our hearts and curiosity in our nature. With our test facility in Landau, which was specially set up for research, we are getting to the bottom of the possibilities for dissolving deposits – again and again.
As our practical experience has shown us, we are on the right track with the patented comprex® impulse rinsing process we have developed – but we are constantly redefining its level of performance by incorporating innovations from our research into comprex® technology.

This is where comprex® is created
In our technical center in Landau, we work daily on the further development of our process. Here, hardware and software merge to form our unique comprex® technology. Together with sycotech, we develop the control software and integrate the technical equipment into the various comprex® units.
Plant and vehicle construction
The development, production and maintenance of our comprex® units is carried out in-house by our development engineers, designers and mechanics.
System control and automation solutions
With modern interfaces, intuitive operating concepts and portability to any end device, sycotech GmbH offers its vision of contemporary machine control to a wide range of customers. Since the spin-off in 2019, the company has bundled HAMMANN's IT expertise and is steadily expanding it within the new framework.

Project Management
In addition to plant and vehicle construction, the offices of our project engineers are located in Landau. All steps from development and planning to maintenance of our comprex® units are coordinated here.

Managing Partner
Hans-Gerd Hammann, a qualified civil engineer, is the founder and managing director of Hammann GmbH. Hammann started as a two-man operation in 1997 and has developed into a 70-strong medium-sized company over the past 27 years.
Hammann holds several patents based on the comprex® cleaning process. As a service provider for the cleaning of fluid-carrying systems and as a manufacturer of mobile and stationary cleaning systems, Hammann is active in various areas and sectors of drinking water supply and industry. Thanks to this long-standing expertise, innovative adaptations of the impulse rinsing process to new areas of application and constant investment in research & development, Hammann and comprex® are well positioned for the future.

Managing Partner
The increasing demand for permanently available cleaning solutions
at the customer sites paved the way for the spin-off creation of Hammann
Engineering GmbH in 2018.
Hammann and comprex® are thus entering the second generation. When the subsidiary was founded, Vincent Hammann joined the company as the second managing partner.
He previously gained experience with comprex® as a service technician on project assignments while completing his bachelor’s degree in Service Engineering. During his Master’s degree in General Business Management he was in charge of the Project Management team.
He now manages the fortunes of comprex® Engineering as General Manager and was also appointed to the management board of Hammann GmbH in 2023.
As co-founder of our new joint venture comprex® North America in Cincinatti, Ohio, his core task is to establish and develop our international subsidiaries.
