Comprex® netcare is the condition-based gate valve maintenance for the municipal pipe network – and thus the perfect complement to pipe network cleaning with Comprex®. A combination of both brings pipe networks back to a hygienically and hydraulically sound condition and extends the service life of shut-off valves. The number of slides to be replaced can thus be massively reduced.

This is how our Comprex® netcare works
During network operation, most of the sliders are open. Deposits can form in the housing of the gate valves and impair their functionality, so that the gate valves close insufficiently or no longer at all. However, it is only possible to check the shut-off function when the pipeline is out of service, for example before cleaning the pipe network with the Comprex® process.
The gate valves limiting the pipeline section to be cleaned shall be closed. At the standpipe of the outlet hydrant, it can be seen from the water discharge whether all actuated gate valves are tight. Slides that do not close or close poorly are detected and marked. They are then specifically trained by opening and closing them several times, with the release force of Comprex® providing support as needed.
Between 50 % and 70 % of the gate valves can be upgraded in this way. Since Comprex® cleaning is carried out after gate valve repair, it is ensured that all substances detached and mobilized from the gate valves are reliably discharged from the pipe network.
